Celebrating its 59th year of community service!
The Folsom Women's Service Club is an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN 26-4284359) open to any interested person who lives in Folsom, California or the surrounding area. The mission of this organization is to raise funds to provide college scholarships to qualified graduating seniors from public high schools in Folsom, California and to assist with other humanitarian charities as the need arises. We improve our community while fostering friendships and sharing ideas. We meet monthly (excluding July and August) at the Folsom Community Center at 52 Natoma St., in Folsom on the 2nd Thursday of the month from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Each month we have a guest speaker of current interest or a special event of seasonal interest.
Within the Folsom Women's Service Club, we have four separate interest groups which add another dimension where women can share special talents. These groups are, Crafters, Book Lovers, Garden Foodies, and Bridge Buddies. The interest groups use their talents and skills to produce tangible items, such as art, crafts, and plants, to raise money for our philanthropic causes. Our major fundraisers are: The annual Fashion Show Luncheon; fall Craft, Bake, and Plant Sale; and the spring Friendship Tea.
Besides the camaraderie we share, our major beneficiary is our Scholarship Fund. Each year deserving students from public high schools in Folsom, California are awarded scholarships. We also provide support to a variety of charitable organizations within the community. Be sure to read about our history.
